An impressive display of batting and bowling by Yuvraj Singh helped India beat Ireland by 5 wickets. 

He finished with figures of 5-31 and then scored an unbeaten 50 to help India beat Ireland by five wickets in their World Cup Group B match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.

Ireland suffered an early jolt when they lost Stirling and Joyce at the score of just 9 runs. But a brilliant batting display by their captain William Porterfield, who scored 75 runs off 104 balls helped Ireland put 207 runs on board 

But, Yuvraj Singh had other plans. First he dismissed Kevin O'Brien cheaply and then accounted for Porterfield's wicket to push the 'giant-killers' to the wall.

Not just with the bowl he came good with bat too scoring an impressive 50 runs off 75 balls. 
He won the Man-of-match for his impressive on field display.

Unchanged India opt to bowl

On a dry pitch, MS Dhoni chose to bowl against Ireland at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. "It will help the spinners more in the afternoon than in the evening," Dhoni said.

India played to their batting strength, and went in with an unchanged side. Ireland made one change, bringing in Andrew White for Gary Wilson.

Giving India a perfect start, Zaheer Khan struck again to get the wicket of Ireland's Ed Joyce during their cricket World Cup match in Bangalore. Earlier, Khan bowled out Ireland's Paul Stirling in first over of the match giving India the early breakthrough. 

Mahinder Singh Dhoni had won the toss an elected to field against Ireland in their Group A match. India are playing 7 batsmen in this match. 

While India will look to continue their winning momentum in the tournament, Ireland, upbeat after a smashing win against England, will seek to win their second game in three matches.

Batting giant in India to face Ireland in a courageous match of Group B World Cup here at the M Chinnas wamy stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.

When Ireland's breathtaking performance against England, Team India has a specific strategy and prepared against the Irish team.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl against Ireland in a Group B match of the World Cup here at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.

Dhoni has already indicated to field first after winning the toss. India has kept its side unchanged that means there is no Ashish Nehra in the squad.

India played last match against England tie whereas Ireland outclassed mighty English side at this venue.

After losing the toss, Irish captain William Porterfield said that he is looking put good total on board and expects spinners.

Ireland has made one change in the side. Andrew White has replaced Gary Wilson in the playing XI.

The final fixtures of ICC Cricket World cup 2011 has been announced with India taking Bangladesh in the opening match. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be the hosts with Mumbai hosting the final of the World cup2011.
